I am a Storyteller and Documentary Filmmaker
A documentary filmmaker and storyteller.
I am a recent graduate of a 3-year MFA program in documentary film committed to finding the poetry in every day while provoking change around social issues. From the first time I pick up a camera, I know that filming is a good way to tell stories to others. In the past 7 years, I have worked on different documentary films which are about people with disability, environmental issues, Chinese Americans, etc. For me, filming documentaries is not just a job, it's also a way to think about the world we live in.
Right now, I work as a freelance producer, editor, and cinematographer at Pear Video, Story2Movie Studio, and Wrought Iron Productions. I also get a chance to interview the NBA basketball players for Tencent after each game in Charlotte. During the last two summer breaks, I interned in Federalist Society in Washington DC and Pear Video where I had a chance to do some commercial projects.
As a graduate student at Wake Forest University, I work on my thesis film The Adventure of T-man, a story about a young man with autism trying to find a job and live independently.
